If you’re celebrating a birthday in 2019, you are in good company. Legoland, the Southern California Lego-themed amusement park, celebrates its 20th anniversary and is extending the merriment to guests all year long.

Legoland has entertained families since it first opened in 1999. Throughout 2018 it has been gearing up for a major celebration with the opening of new attractions like the Lego City Deep Sea Adventure Submarine Ride and the Legoland Castle Hotel. In 2019 the park plans to keep the fun coming all year long by unveiling special events, activities and performances that will thrill the child in all of us and continue to carry on the park’s tradition of fueling imagination and creativity in young minds.

Children 12 and under will receive the special gift of free admission to this family-favorite theme park throughout 2019. That includes all of the fun the park is already known for, plus all of the latest and upcoming thrills the park has in store.

Starting in 2019 Miniland USA, a place where young guests can tour miniature versions of the world’s most well-known sites, like the New York skyline (all made from Legos, of course!), will be home to the new Lego Friends Live Show and Character Dance Party. The show is a surefire way to get your little ones on their feet to sing and dance.

February is the perfect time to visit the park to experience Lego Movie Days. Planned in conjunction with the release of The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, Lego Movie Days will give guests the opportunity to take a photo with the movie’s star characters and take part in movie-themed activities like a scavenger hunt.

In 2018, the park unveiled the popular 4-D film Lego Ninjago — Masters of the 4th Dimension. The 2019 Birthday Celebration will bring with it a brand new 4-D masterpiece for park-goers of all ages: Lego City 4D — Officer in Pursuit. Premiering in the spring, this exclusive adventure flick promises to combine 3-D cinematography with tactile special effects.

The park’s popular Duplo Playtown, the perfect play place for little park guests, will get in on the 20th anniversary fun while it moves to a new location within the park and adds the brand-new Legoland Express Train.

Legoland has never failed to entertain families and the coming year promises to keep the fun alive with new and old adventures and a little old-fashioned birthday fun.

Interior Upgrades Begin Rolling Out Across United Fleet

United Airlines is in the midst of a major initiative to modernize its fleet over the next several years. After first announcing the plan in 2021, planes fitted with United’s signature interior are finally beginning to appear across the airline’s narrowbody fleet of Boeing and Airbus planes. United flyers are sure to notice these enhancements from the moment they step on board: Each new or updated plane sports remodeled seats, seatback entertainment screens for everyone, Bluetooth connectivity and more, all adding up to a better experience on every journey.
