North America

American Girl recently announced it would re-release its original line of dolls. One of those original dolls is Felicity Merriman, a young girl living in Williamsburg, Virginia, in 1774. For those nostalgic Felicity fans and those still to fall in love with the iconic doll, Colonial Williamsburg offers travelers the chance to immerse themselves in the real-life history behind the doll.

A few ways visitors can learn more about the legacy behind Felicity Merriman include staying at the Colonial Houses, in the heart of the historic area, for a truly authentic period stay, but with modern amenities; and learning more about the work behind colonial clothing at the Costume Design Center. King’s Arms Tavern offers a creative take on colonial diet staples. Felicity fans may also love her horse, Penny. Learn more about the American Craft Draft Horse at Colonial Williamsburg’s Rare Breeds Program.

And guests booking stays directly at cwresorts.com will receive two complimentary, length-of-stay tickets to the historic area and art museums of Williamsburg.
