Take your winter family travel to the next level with a trip to an exhilarating waterpark. Holiday car rental experts at StressFreeCarRental.com recently released a list of impressive parks filled with action-packed rides, relaxing lazy rivers and more.
As one of Walt Disney World’s two water parks, Blizzard Beach offers a wide variety of winter-themed water attractions, including raft rides, body slides and its terrifying 120-foot-tall water slide, Summit Plummet. Guests are taken to the top of the summit on a chair lift, which also offers great views of the water park, as well as other Disney theme parks in the area.
A popular destination for travelers toward the end of the year, the Canary Islands invite guests to enjoy the nice weather at Siam Park. Thrillseekers can’t miss the Tower of Power ride for a terrifying, but fun drop.
Another Canary Island hot spot, Aqualava Waterpark is another must-visit while on the islands. The park offers year-round, family-friendly fun and is suitable for younger guests.
Known as the largest waterpark in the world, travelers can experience a variety of giant slides and long, lazy rivers. The park’s can’t-miss attraction, the wheel waterslide, rotates as you slide down and is an impressive way to make a splash and experience the thrill.
Walt Disney World’s second theme park, Typhoon Lagoon offers a tropical-themed experience. The park doesn’t offer many tall waterslides, but it does feature a water coaster, extensive lazy river, family tube slides and a one-of-a-kind wave pool.
Another famous waterpark in Orlando, Aquatica Waterpark is known for its big drops and fascinating surroundings. Slides include one where the floor drips out from under you after a countdown and one where you slide through an aquarium filled with exotic fish and leopard sharks.
