3 Things to Know When Planning a Trip to Dubai

There is so much to experience in Dubai that planning family travel to the city can be a bit overwhelming. Between picking the best place to stay and eat and deciding which of the city’s over-the-top attractions your family will visit while there, it can get a bit overwhelming. To make planning a bit easier, read on for some tips to make sure you make the most of your trip.

If you plan on exploring some of the local culture with a trip to a mosque, be sure to come prepared. Although places like Jumeirah Mosque are popular tourist attractions that allow tours, some religious rules still need to be followed, meaning women are required to wear an abaya and head scarf to enter the grounds. While these items used to be provided by tour providers, that is no longer the case. Be sure to plan ahead and purchase your own before you go from an online retailer like Amazon or do a little shopping in Dubai before your mosque trip.

When Museum of the Future opened last year, it not only became an iconic part of Dubai’s landscape, it also became one of the city’s most popular attractions, with tickets selling out months in advance. If you want to get inside and experience interactive exhibits dedicated to the future of mankind, be sure to reserve your tickets well in advance.

United Arab Emirates is a desert nation, so it can get pretty hot during the summer months, even in coastal cities like Dubai where certain attractions close during the hottest months of the year. Global Village brings the world together through an international collection of eateries, shops and entertainment venues, but only during the cooler months. The outdoor attraction is only open October through April, so plan your trip accordingly if this fun destination is on your must-see list.
