The museum debuts its newest special exhibit, Witness to Revolution: The Unlikely Travels of Washington’s Tent, on Feb. 17. The exhibit expands on the museum’s existing award-winning Washington’s War Tent presentation. Learn about the people of African descent who played critical roles in the tent’s journey. Entrance to the exhibit is included with regular admission.
First-Person Theatrical Performance: Meet Elizabeth Freeman, Feb. 3 and 10 (1:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.)
This live performance highlights the story of Elizabeth Freeman, who sued for her freedom from enslavement and won.

Artisan Workshop: Make an Apron, Feb. 7, 21 and 28 (7–8:30 p.m.)
Part of the museum’s Artisan Workshop Series, this three-night virtual workshop teaches participants how to sew a men’s or women’s apron, utilizing historically accurate materials and techniques.
Dennis Farm Charitable Land Trust’s Lonaé A. Moore Forum, Feb. 10 (1–3:30 p.m.)
The Lonaé A. Moore Forum celebrates its seventh year in 2024. A variety of speakers discuss the theme of this year’s forum: Building Bridges by Sharing Our Stories.

The museum is open daily, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
For those unable to visit in person, the museum offers free virtual experiences including a virtual museum, the interactive Finding Freedom experience and the Black Founders virtual tour.

United Continues Its Global Expansion
United Airlines keeps soaring to new heights, recently announcing another expansion of its leading global route network. The airline added new non-stop flights between Newark (EWR) and Marrakesh (RAK), Morocco; Tokyo (NRT) and Cebu (CEB), Philippines; and Houston (IAH) and Medellin (MDE), Colombia.
