Hotels

Plan family travel to the Florida Keys this holiday season and celebrate Hawks Cay Resort’s 40th season of holiday programming.

The season begins with Thanksgiving festivities. Participate in a scenic walk or run through the islands of Duck Key on the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5K. The walk/run begins at 7 a.m. and requires a $35 advance registration fee. The resort’s water-side Angler & Ale restaurant also celebrates the day with a Thanksgiving feast. The menu boasts holiday classics including turkey and mashed potatoes, as well as local favorites like peel-and-eat Key West shrimp. Available 12–8 p.m., the meal costs $70 for adults and $35 for children.

The fun doesn’t stop there. The resort offers festive family fun for the rest of the holiday season. Complimentary activities include letter writing to Santa, menorah lighting, meet-and-greet with Santa, story time and hot chocolate with Mrs. Claus, and a Christmas evening campfire. Book an elf tuck-in for your little ones. Available Thursday–Sunday evenings, the experience costs $25 per child and includes a bedtime story and holiday gift.

Children can also craft their own ornaments on Wednesday and Saturday mornings for $10. Angler & Ale hosts an ugly sweater party complete with live music and food and drink specials. Book a treatment at on-site Calm Waters Spa and receive complimentary aromatherapy. Enjoy hot cocoa and cider from stations in the relaxation rooms.

Best of Both Worlds

Enjoy the best of both worlds when you fly with TAP Air Portugal thanks to the Portugal Stopover program. With the program, TAP passengers, whether traveling for business, leisure or both, can stop in Portugal for up to 10 days at no additional airfare on the way to their final destination. What does this mean for travelers wishing to explore by both land and sea? It means after flying to Portugal with TAP and experiencing the country in an entirely new way, travelers can then embark on scenic river and ocean cruises from  Portugal’s port cities, or fly with TAP to another European destination.
