The Catskills isn’t the vacation destination your grandparents remember: It’s fun, exciting and perfect for family travelers as they welcome the warmer weather of spring and summer. Okay, so maybe grandparents were on to something. The resort’s all-inclusive package includes three meals a day; concerts on the lawn; movies under the stars; and plenty of activities like yoga, Zumba, fencing and fishing.
While in the Catskills you won’t want to miss fun experiences beyond the resort, like a farm stay at Stony Creek Farms, where kids will love caring for the farm’s adorable animals and the family can help pick vegetables and herbs for dinner. Serene surroundings offer parents the perfect relaxing getaway in a setting where kids can have a ball roaming the farm.
If adventure is more your family’s speed, there is plenty of camping, biking, fishing and outdoor sports like kayaking. You can even stretch your legs with one of the many hikes, and pair the natural beauty with fresh air and exercise by visiting one of the many waterfalls the Catskills is known for, like the 260-foot-tall Kaaterskill Falls. Higher than Niagara Falls, this beautiful spot is the tallest waterfall in New York.
