Baltimore, Maryland, doesn’t hold back on holiday celebrations and festivities this season, and families traveling to the city will find a plethora of experiences and activities. The official tree lighting at Rash Field Park happened Nov. 22, and visitors can see the 26-foot-tall tree now lit up.
On Nov. 29, the Christkind Ceremony and Pyramid Lighting open the Christmas Village at the Inner Harbor, complete with Christkind’s prologue and the illumination of Baltimore’s Glühwein Pyramid. Over at B&O Railroad Museum, enjoy festive magic with its Holiday Festival of Trains, which features Reindeer Railway, Polar Express Train Ride and photo opportunities with Santa.
Glide across the Inner Harbor ice rink, which overlooks the waterfront, for a night of adventure. And, in Hampden, the beloved Miracle on 34th Street brightens the neighborhood with fun displays like hubcap trees and bicycle wheel snowmen (begins Nov. 29).
In 2026, Harbor Point Ice Festival transforms the city’s Central Plaza into an outdoor ice gallery, featuring live sculpting, local treats and warm drinks. Nearby, the Mini Maker’s Winter Market at R. House showcases Baltimore’s creative energy through handmade goods from local artisans.
Venues like B&O Railroad Museum and Port Discovery Children’s Museum host free programs, lectures and family activities on Martin Luther King Jr. weekend.
