If you’ll find yourself in British Columbia this Halloween season, make sure you and the family check out one of these can’t-miss, family-friendly spooky season activities.
The Galey Farms’ Pumpkinfest in Victoria, British Columbia, runs throughout the entire month of October. Visit the pumpkin patch and try to work your way through the six-acre corn maze.

If you’ll be in Richmond, British Columbia, instead, visit the pumpkin patch at Richmond Country Farms, where there are not only pumpkins, but also farm animals, wagon rides, sunflower fields and more. Your ticket will include a wagon ride, apple and a pumpkin. Parents will want to also visit the farm’s winery.
Halloween Community Market at LuLu Island Winery
Speaking of wineries, also in Richmond, LuLu Island Winery will host its Halloween Community Event & Artisan Market on Oct. 21. This family-friendly affair features Canadian artisans, food and beverages and trick-or-treating for the kids (and the furry members of your family are welcome, too).
The Haunted Sea at Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site
At this historic site in Richmond, through Nov. 5, you can check out the Haunted Sea exhibit. The installation is one part spooky, one part educational, as it displays creepy creations made from recycled materials, highlighting the importance of keeping our trash out of the oceans.
