Fall, foliage and family travel — that’s what is on the agenda at The Horse Shoe Farm in North Carolina. Situated on 85 acres along the French Broad River, The Horse Shoe Farm accommodates all travelers, from couples to family reunions and everything in between.
It starts with family here: The Turchin family bought the farm in 2017, transforming The Horse Shoe Farm into a private retreat with luxury accommodations for 61 guests, a spa in an authentic renovated barn, on-site dining and bar, and private event space. Eight vacation homes, cottages and a loft can also be booked individually or combined, and the entirety of The Horse Shoe Farm can be rented starting at $8,500 per night in the high season. Accommodations include modern amenities, kitchens, fireplaces, WiFi and more.
The farm’s grounds are sure to delight family travelers, offering a pool and pool house, a hot tub, sauna, steam room, a fishing pond, organic garden, spring-fed farm pond and biking trails, with all needed equipment complimentary. The Farmhouse serves as a communal living, game and conference room, including a pool table, ping pong and arts and crafts. Guests can visit with the animals that call The Horse Shoe Farm home — two horses, three sheep, five goats and chickens and ducks.
The Silo Cookhouse’s dining room boasts views of the surrounding land, including the Blue Ridge Mountains and Mt. Pisgah, with a menu that changes daily based on available ingredients, largely sourced from gardens on the property.
