Last month, San Antonio welcomed a brand-new way for families to discover the heart of Texas. Pullman Market, opened April 23 in the historic Pearl district, brings together foods and specialty items from across the state so visitors can get the full flavor of Texas in one location.

San Antonio is home to a thriving culinary scene, and exploring the many cuisines and flavors represented in the city is almost as much fun as discovering its endless family-friendly attractions. As a cultural hub for San Antonio, the Pearl district is an ideal location for Pullman Market, bringing together local history and the vibrant community of the city.
Located in the 40,000-square-foot historic Samuels Glass building, it pulls from the many rich heritages that make San Antonio an exciting melting pot of cultures. With a variety of spaces catering to different tastes and needs, it blends a bit of everything — a specialty market, a whole animal butcher, a sourdough bakery, five quick-service eateries, an on-site tortilleria and four concept restaurants.

By offering something for everyone, Pullman Market gives families the perfect place to make everyone happy, where they can shop for products from more than 150 Texas vendors, feed all the hungry mouths in the family without having to settle on a single restaurant or visit multiple locales across the city, and grab some ice cream in specialty flavors like ones designed by award-winning Austin-based pastry chef Tavel Bristol-Joseph.
In addition to multiple quick-service eateries, the space will ultimately feature four concept restaurants. Two launched with the opening of Pullman Market in April — Fife & Farro, specializing in wood-fired sourdough pizza and handmade pastas, and Mezquite, which showcases the cuisine of Sonora, Mexico, one of the many destinations where San Antonio cuisine can claim roots. Additional concept restaurants will open later in 2024, offering even more choices for visitors and locals alike.
