Across the country, food and beverage trails give family travelers a chance to get to know destinations through its eats and drinks, but in Jacksonville, Florida, the local trail features a menu offering something for everyone in the family. While the kids get to sample the area’s best donuts, mom and dad get to add some coffee to their breakfast, revving up everyone for a day of fun enjoying the city.

The JAX Coffee & Donuts Trail features locations throughout the area with some of the most delicious coffee and donuts. You can start your day off with something sweet and something caffeinated or stop throughout the day for a jolt, all while discovering a different neighborhood daily.

There are 46 locations on the trail representing Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach, so no matter where you are staying and what attractions you plan to see, you’ll find plenty of stops along the trail that will work perfectly with your itinerary.

To participate in the fun, simply download the Visit JAX app and create an account. From there, select the JAX Coffee & Donut Trail icon, which will prompt you to select four, eight or 20 shops you want to visit along the trail. At each location, make your purchase and get a code from the shop’s staff, which you’ll need to enter into the app. Once you’ve reached your goal and logged your stops, you’ll be able to trade that progress in for Visit Jacksonville gear.

The app, free to download and use, makes finding the best coffee and donut shops in town easy, but it also gives helpful recommendations for places to stay, things to see and do around town, and schedules for live events. You can even find discounts for local attractions and restaurants, along with an Ideas tab with loads of suggestions and information for self-guided tours around the Jacksonville area so you can really get to know the city.
