There’s a new family-friendly hot spot to add to your family travel itinerary when you’re in the Big Apple’s Brooklyn borough: Xanadu Roller Arts, recently opened in June 2024. The recreational center is Bushwick’s newest destination for a Saturday afternoon with friends, family or even solo. Varun Kataria founded the space, the only indoor roller rink in the five boroughs.

Xanadu Roller Arts offers a unique space for human connection and joy through vibrant motion, immersive entertainment, and food and drink. Every Saturday, starting at noon, the doors open for all ages for skate sessions. Beginners can learn to skate or seasoned skaters can work on their advancing skills. The recently launched Dreamland Disco Brunch immerses guests and transports them to a retro roller disco dreamland. Brunches include 1970s vibes, disco-inspired drinks, skate dance-offs, rink performances, costume contests and YMCA dance parties.
The roller-skating floor is a hand-painted work of art on 7,000 square feet of Canadian maple, with custom skates made by American company Riedell. Pair those amenities with a six-point d&b audiotechnik sound system and menu items like specialty hot dogs, popcorn or Frito pie, and Xanada Roller Arts delivers a skating experience unmatched in style and comfort.
