Family travelers escaping to Amelia Island, Florida, have lots to look forward to with a full schedule of events. On June 7, dance along to classic rock and more performed by the Honey Badgers. There’s a few more performances left this season in the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival, with Beethoven & Beer: Ariel Quartet on May 29, and Christopher Rex String Seminar June 1. Sept. 5–8, dance takes center stage at Amelia Island Dance Festival, featuring classical and contemporary performances with acclaimed dancers from around the country and from local dance institutions.
Also coming this fall: Les DeMerle Amelia Island Jazz Festival, Island Hop Craft Beer Festival, Amelia Island Cookout, Right Whale Festival and more. The annual Holidays on Amelia Island showcase takes place Dec. 6–7, and kids will love watching a giant shrimp covered in lights fall from the sky during the annual Shrimp Drop on Dec. 31.
