When it comes to choosing a hotel in which to stay during a visit to Orlando, there is no shortage of options, from budget to mid-range to luxury. If you are looking for luxury accommodations a bit away from the theme parks, yet still within close proximity for easy access, consider JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes.

Though just a short drive from Orlando’s top attractions via the resort’s complimentary shuttles, you will feel a world away on its 500 acres, complete with bicycling and running trails and even kayaking on the waterways. Keep your eyes open for alligators — you may just spot a mama with her babies.
A lazy river runs through the property, too, connecting JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes with neighboring The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes. Grab a complimentary inner tube that is yours to keep and float along the river under the warm Florida sun. Afterwards, plop down into a lounge chair poolside and just relax.
When it comes time to eat, there is not any reason to leave the resort. For farm-to-table cuisine, make reservations for Whisper Creek Farm: The Kitchen and dive right in to local goodness. The cocktails here should not be missed, either. And if you would like, you can even pay a visit to the on-site Whisper Creek Farm to see what is in season; perhaps you will even see the chef out on the farm foraging for that day’s ingredients. Other flavors found at JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes include Italian, sushi, American and even on-the-go sandwiches. You certainly will not go hungry when staying here.
The standard guestrooms found within the resort are spacious, with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy your stay. But if you need even more room, reserve one of the suites, ranging from executive to presidential. All guestrooms, regardless of category, include an Internet-ready, 65-inch HDTV, pillow top bedding, robes and views of the resort, the pool area or the lake.
When night falls, plan on getting as high up in the buildings as you can with a view to the west and, if your timing is right, you may just catch the fireworks set off nightly at Walt Disney World. A fantastic way to end your day, and ready for the next!
