Multigenerational

Baseball season is in full swing and there is still plenty of time for fans to catch a game at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia while cheering on the local favorite, the Philadelphia Phillies.

If you have been to a Phillies game before, then you know there are plenty of activities for guests. If you get there before the game starts, you can see batting practice and possibly even get a chance to get an autograph from your favorite players. It will also give you a chance to explore the ballpark.

If you have little kids, make sure to check out The Yard, located behind right field in Ashburn Alley. The Yard is a 13,000-square-foot interactive kids’ baseball experience. At the Phan Field, a wiffle ball field resembles the Phillies field, where kids can act like they are part of the team while playing some ball. There is a Hatfield Franks Hot Dog Launcher, where kids can test their skills launching hot dogs like the Phanatic at targets on the wall. Kids can also climb the 30-foot Phanatic Climbing wall, featuring many of Philadelphia’s iconic Landmark Buildings. While the kids are playing, parents can take advantage of The Backyard Bar, serving fan-favorite beers, wine, cocktails and frozen drinks.

Once the kids are done playing, take a stroll down The Phillies All-Star Walk, where you can look at some of the Phillies most famous and best players throughout the years.

After all the playing and exploring, you will probably work up an appetite. Chickie’s & Pete’s is a must while at Citizens Bank Park. Crab fries are delicious and the perfect pairing for a baseball game. If you want to feel like a real Philadelphian, stop by Tony Luke’s for a delicious Philly cheesesteak.
