If when you think of Boston you think of harbor views and history, the Boston Harbor Hotel may be exactly what you’re picturing. Located on the historic Rowes Wharf, the Boston Harbor Hotel is the only Forbes 5-star stay in the area. Whether city people or country dwellers, the harbor-side location offers a bit of both.

For all the history buffs in your family, the new John Adams Presidential Suite at the 5-star waterfront property is right up their alley and perfect for families with spacious rooms amid an idyllic urban oasis.

Take in views of Boston Harbor with easy access to Boston’s downtown shopping, dining, entertainment and historic landmarks. Enjoy luxury services, high-end accommodations and a slew of amenities included in your family stay — after all, it’s a presidential suite.

Offering more privacy than a standard room without sacrificing location, the new suite is a getaway for the family. Guests take advantage of the private entrance and elevator, assisting with everything from luggage and shopping bags to guests with limited mobility.

Once inside, the 4,800-square-foot space is a pretty impressive sight. Enjoy the natural light beaming into the spacious rooms, some with 20-foot, floor-to-ceiling windows and open-concept living spaces. While you’ll have privacy from the outside world, there is plenty of communal space to enjoy with the kids and unobstructed views over the water.

Located within the rotunda of the Boston Harbor Hotel, the John Adams Presidential Suite also offers the unique added touch of private outdoor space. Lounge on the outdoor seating within the1,000-square-foot, private, open-air terrace. Plug into the suite’s custom sound system and feel free to head out on the terrace even on colder nights as it comes equipped with outdoor heating.

Add on one or two guestrooms and bring the whole family, with enough space for up to eight adults comfortably.

The suite’s sophisticated design extends beyond the layout of the space, all the way to the furnishings and interior décor. Check out the impressive glass-domed ceiling in the living room, boasting incredible views of the rotunda. Stand under the custom chandelier for some amazing family photos or retreat to the luxury touches of the Hermès décor and Frette Doppio Adjour linens in the master bedroom. With Carrara marble, his-and-her vanity and soaking tub overlooking the water highlighting the en-suite bath, it’s safe to say not a detail was missed in this space.

The sleek modern kitchen comes with high-end appliances, a fully stocked private bar and dining space for eight guests.
