Family travelers around the world look to lakeside destinations for upcoming vacations. Research conducted on behalf of Marriott International saw a whopping 157 percent year-over-year increase in searches for “lake vacations.” Also known as a “lakecation,” the trend is a perfect throwback to family vacations of the past.
