Northgate Resorts’ Jellystone Park, located in Williamsport, Maryland, will unveil its new lazy river in early May for family travelers to enjoy. For the first month of its opening, the lazy river will only be open weekends. Beginning June 9, the lazy river will open seven days a week, the only one of its kind in northern Maryland allowing guests to float and drift to their hearts’ content.
“We are always looking for ways to enhance our guest experience,” said Tessa McCrackin, CMO, Northgate Resorts. “Our new lazy river, which encompasses nearly 5,000 square feet of fresh water and is just three feet deep, will appeal to both kids and adults. We expect it will also help to reduce the queues at the waterslides and will offer guests of all ages more outdoor options.”
In addition to the new lazy river, Jellystone Park offers a wide variety of other fun activities for the whole family. Guests can enjoy the park’s mini-golf course, as well as a water zone containing pools, slides and jumping pillows and pads.
Jellystone Park consists of a full-service and self-contained campground featuring RV sites, primitive campsites and cabins of varying sizes. The area also includes a ranger station stocked with supplies and groceries, dining options and laundry facilities. With the arrival of the new lazy river in time for summer, families will never want to leave this outdoor haven.
