Karisma Hotels & Resorts recently partnered with Autism Double-Checked to implement the Autism Passport, marking the first hotel collection to do so. The passport acts as an extension of the brand’s Autism Concierge, a program assisting guests with autism.
“We are incredibly proud to partner with Autism Double-Checked, the foremost leader in autism-friendly travel,” said Esteban Velasquez, CEO, Karisma Hotels & Resorts. “This continued collaboration aligns with Karisma’s overarching goal of ensuring every guest feels welcome and supported. We feel that the introduction of the Autism Passport marks a significant step forward in our shared commitment to provide an unparalleled stay for all travelers.”
The Autism Passport serves as a comprehensive tool for guests on the autism spectrum. Accessible online, the passport allows guests to communicate their unique individual needs with Karisma staff to facilitate their stay. All Karisma staff complete rigorous training through the ADC training course. The resorts offer property-specific information guides for autistic guests.
Autism Double-Checked-certified Karisma properties include Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya, Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana, Margaritaville Island Reserve® Cap Cana, Margaritaville Island Reserve® Riviera Cancun and Azul Beach Resort Riviera Cancún. Azul Beach Resort and Margaritaville Island Reserve® Riviera Maya are undergoing certification.
