This month, family travelers visiting San Diego can save up to $1,000 by taking advantage of Kids Free San Diego deals across the region. The program, now in its 14th year, boasts more than 100 family-friendly offers, from complimentary admission at local attractions to free meals at restaurants to welcome amenities and experiences at area hotels.
“October is one of the best times to visit San Diego,” said Daniel Kuperschmid, president and CEO, San Diego Tourism Authority. “The weather is perfect, the crowds are lighter, and with Kids Free San Diego, families can enjoy incredible experiences at a great value. We love that this program helps families create lasting memories while celebrating everything that makes our city special.”
Here’s a closer look at some of what’s on offer with Kids Free San Diego:
- Birch Aquarium, where kids receive free admission with each paid adult ticket
- San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park, where kids enjoy free admission all month long with a paid adult
- Legoland California, with a free child Hopper Ticket when a full-price adult Hopper Ticket is purchased
- SeaWorld San Diego, where kids go free with every paid adult ticket
- Ocean Park Inn’s special perks for kids, including bike rentals, parking and a complimentary swag bag
- Kings Inn hotel guests can save up to 25 percent on their stay, and children eat free at both Amigo Spot and Waffle Spot with the purchase of an adult meal
- Catamaran Resort gives families up to 25 percent off their stay, complimentary paddleboard or kayak rentals and a free kids’ meal at Oceana Coastal Kitchen
- At Casa Guadalejara, kids enjoy a free meal from the Kids’ Menu with the purchase of an adult entrée
- Original 40 Brewing Company: Kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entrée
- Hasta Mañana Cantina offers a free kid’s meal with the purchase of an adult entrée
- Fleet Science Center, where children receive free admission with paying adult
- USS Midway Museum, where kids receive free admission with purchase of an adult ticket
- The Gondola Company, where up to four kids ride free with a paid cruise in the month of October
- Old Town Trolley Tour, where kids ride free with each paid adult
- Kids can fly free with Corporate Helicopters on the 30-minute Beaches & Bays Helicopter Tour
