Family travelers heading to LEGOLAND California Resort in the near future are in for a treat: LEGO Festival 2026 reaches high speed with the introduction of LEGO F1 headlining the Thrill Zone. LEGO Festival is the ultimate celebration of play, inviting kids to take the lead and bringing families together through interactive play.

LEGO F1 will take center stage in the new Thrill Zone by bringing the excitement of a F1 Race Day to life with a full lineup of high energy moments, hands-on racing builds, family pit crew challenges and even surprise appearances. During pit crew challenges, families try to complete the fastest LEGO F1 pit stop tire change in the Brick Stop Challenge by working together and testing their teamwork as an official pit crew of a LEGO F1 car. The Pit Lane Hype Show brings an upbeat vibe with beat-driven drum and percussion performances made by using tools and snapping bricks together.

Raise the stakes by becoming race engineers for the day. Both little travelers and adults can design, build and race their own LEGO F1 brick vehicles. If the car isn’t fast enough, don’t worry, there will be time to go back to the drawing board to come up with other ideas to shave off time in order to achieve that euphoric race day victory.

No race day is complete without a photo finish. Guests will have a variety of photo opportunities, including meeting LEGO pit crew members and stepping into the winners’ circle for a First Place photo.

The festival runs July 20 to Aug. 30 and will transform LEGOLAND California Resort into a celebration of imagination across five interactive zones: Music, Creative, Chill-out, Thrill and Play.

What does this mean for travelers wishing to explore by both land and sea? It means after flying to Portugal with TAP and experiencing the country in an entirely new way, travelers can then embark on scenic river and ocean cruises from  Portugal’s port cities, or fly with TAP to another European destination.
