LEGOLAND New York Launches New Gondola-Style Ride

LEGOLAND New York Resort is about to make it easier for family travelers to move throughout the park this summer. The Minifigure Skyflyer, opening this summer and a first for LEGOLAND Resorts, offers an interactive new way to travel between themed lands.

Guests can expect a fully immersive, interactive experience on the Minifigure Skyflyer from the moment they line up until getting off the ride. Before boarding, guests can help “charge” the cable car batteries through hand-powered cranks following a rainbow road to the boarding platform’s disco-themed dance floor. Complete with LEGO brick disco ball lights, the dance floor invites families to show off their best dance moves to help the Minifigure Skyflyer fly.

Before boarding, guests are greeted by the famous minifigures who tell the story of how they built the new ride. Once in flight, families can use their imaginations to help “power” the ride through movement as they dance while traveling across the park. Don’t forget to check out the best views of MINILAND while flying through the air.

There will be seven different themed Party Pods ranging from pirates to space to disco. Guests will learn how to talk like a pirate, speak space alien or participate in a singalong while flying. All pods are ADA accessible and can sit up to 10 people.
