Family travelers visiting SeaWorld San Diego in 2025 are in for a treat thanks to new experiences, renovated rides and more.
This spring, be one of the first to experience the much-anticipated Jewels of the Sea: A Jellyfish Experience, an immersive and interactive aquarium that is the first of its kind for all SeaWorld parks. Visitors get a detailed look at jellyfish and other educational concepts that go along with its mission of educating and inspiring guests to explore the wonders of the ocean. Jewels of the Sea: A Jellyfish Experience features a variety of jelly species, a kaleidoscope of colors and shapes in three unique galleries, and beautiful storytelling to exhilarate guests.
“Visiting the new Jellyfish Experience is an amazing opportunity like no other – a chance for our guests to see up close the spectacular details of these underwater marvels and witness how they live their lives in astonishing clarity,” said Eric Otjen, VP, Zoological, SeaWorld San Diego. “Guests will walk through striking habitats and view vivid displays to learn more about these wonderful creatures. This new exhibit aligns with our mission of educating and inspiring guests to learn more about our oceans and the world around us.”
The park also plans to renovate and transform Journey to Atlantis, SeaWorld San Diego’s first rollercoaster. The ride will be reinvented, while still playing tribute to the original version, with new elements to create a more exciting and immersive experience. The new Journey to Atlantis will have a refreshed storyline, new water elements, and special visual effects and show elements.
Next year’s Annual Pass members can enjoy V.I.P. access to the new Jellyfish experience and be one of the first to ride the New Journey to Atlantis coaster.
