Already a favorite for generations of family travelers to New Hampshire, Story Land will open a new waterpark this summer, adding a new — and wet — dimension to the dozens of experiences here that bring fairy tales and stories to life for kids.
The all-new Moo Lagoon is filled with ways for kids and adults to splash and play, with water slides for kids of all sizes, sprayers, and an interactive playground with squirting flowers and farm-themed fountains. The slide tower offers three different water slides: Cob Cruiser, Silk Slider and Husk Runner. Constructed and designed by the Story Land team (all rides and attractions here are original designs, most created by the Morrill family), the rides and new buildings in Moo Lagoon follow a farm theme; the bath house is shaped like a barn, complete with two silos.
Elsewhere in the sprawling park, fairy tales and nursery rhymes rule. Cinderella welcomes kids to her hilltop castle, which they reach by riding in a pumpkin coach. Pirates lurk in the lagoon, swan boats drift around the lake, Old Mother Hubbard sits in her shoe, and kids cook pretend meals inside Peter Piper’s Pumpkin and get dizzy on Alice’s teacup ride.
Story Land is in Glen, New Hampshire, not far from North Conway and within easy reach of major White Mountain attractions and rides, including Mount Washington Cog Railway, Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, Mount Washington Auto Road and Santa’s Village. New this summer at this Christmas-themed park in Jefferson is the Midnight Flyer. Kids will feel as though they are riding in Santa’s sleigh as they zip through the air on this new roller coaster.
