Family travelers will want to add this to their fall itineraries: Every Saturday night throughout October, Royal Gorge Route Railroad will transform into the ultimate family-friendly Halloween celebration, with guests encouraged to wear costumes for a chance to win prizes before an evening ride through one of Colorado’s spectacular canyons.
Dinner and drinks are served onboard before a lively Halloween Dance Party featuring synchronized laser lights and graphics projected onto the canyon walls to a soundtrack of Halloween favorites such as Ghostbusters, Monster Mash, Thriller, Somebody’s Watching Me, The Addams Family Theme, This Is Halloween and more.
