Where can you and the family find a Christmas tree made entirely out of LEGO bricks? LEGOLAND California Resort celebrates the holidays this year with a jaw-dropping, 35-foot Christmas tree made from more than 364,000 LEGO and DUPLO bricks.
Taking the team of Master Model Builders nearly more than 3,000 hours to complete, this tree is the centerpiece of LEGOLAND California Resort’s annual holiday event, running on select dates through Jan. 5.
The tree recently had its lighting ceremony, complete with fireworks, snowfall and even a visit from Santa himself. Through Jan. 5, families can expect some exciting events across the resort. Santa’s helpers have taken over Imagination Zone, transforming it into an Elf Extravaganza. Here, guests can train to become an elf at the new Elf Training Academy, taking “elfies” with new LEGO elf characters Ivy and Frode. Kids can also master their dance moves at the new Holly Hype Dance Party.
The North Pole Postal Service is available for guests to mail letters to Santa, where eager elves ensure these requests make their way to the North Pole.
In addition to the dazzling 35-foot LEGO Christmas tree, there’s also a giant LEGO wreath, holiday-themed treats, and beloved characters like LEGO Santa and his friends.
On New Year’s Eve, kids can take in LEGO-themed fireworks, parades and more, all included with general admission.
