Fall is more than leaf-peeping. Let’s face it, kids will get bored pretty quickly if a family trip only involves seeing fall foliage. Luckily, autumn signals many other changes, too, including harvests. And Indiana is home to some of the most charming U-Pick farms where kids not only get the chance to select their own pumpkins and/or apples, but they also can take part in corn mazes.
Here’s your 2025 guide to family-friendly U-Pick farms in Indiana this fall:
This farm is open through mid-October and features corn and soybean mazes. Kids will especially love the petting farms and pumpkin patches. And when hunger strikes, head to the café for tasty burgers and sweet treats.

Just south of Indianapolis, The Apple Works is an apple orchard and pumpkin patch and, come fall, hosts live music, animals and other attractions.
Take the family on a hayride to the pumpkin patch, shoot apples from an apple cannon, enjoy the barnyard bonanza or navigate the corn maze at this orchard. And during the first two weekends of October, the orchard hosts the Heartland Apple Festival.

Huber’s Orchard & Winery, Borden
A great way to introduce kids to U-Pick farming, this orchard also boasts pedal karts, slides and mazes. And parents can even relax with a wine tour and live music.
