The spirit of Mardi Gras comes to Panama City Beach, Florida, this year, and family travelers can join in on the action with parades, live music and much more. The annual Panama City Beach Mardi Gras and Music Festival, held Jan. 26–27, is a free event jam-packed with entertainment for families.
In addition to a kids’ fun zone and festival village, the festival also features a kids parade, 5K run and fireworks. Other music acts to expect: Chubby Carrier & The Bayou Swamp Band and Curley Taylor & The Zydeco Trouble at Celebration Stage in Pier Park.
Festival attendees enjoy both the revelry of Mardi Gras and the scenic coastline of Panama City Beach. Venues for the festival include Frank Brown Park, Grand Theater Plaza, Aaron Bessant Park, Celebration Stage, Pier Park Drive, Skywheel Plaza and Russell-Fields City Pier.
“We look forward to welcoming locals and visitors to Panama City Beach for our annual Mardi Gras and Music Festival, held just steps away from the destination’s beautiful beaches,” said Dan Rowe, president and CEO, Visit Panama City Beach. “With incredible live performances, festive parades and endless entertainment, this year’s Mardi Gras celebration is sure to be a memorable event for all ages.”
