Tennessee is serious about creating family memories and the most recent incarnation of the Tennessee Playcation Kid’s Guide is a testament to the valuable role kids play in helping plan their family vacations.
The guide showcases more than 45 family-friendly attractions across the state, including Grand Ole Opry, Tennessee Aquarium, Dollywood and Memphis Zoo, along with plenty of activities for kids designed to entertain and inspire children to want to explore the state.

This is the second year Tennessee has presented the Kids Playcation Guide, and, this year, the campaign partnered with one of the state’s most iconic celebrities, Dolly Parton, to promote the state’s great attractions and destinations.
You can pre-order a hardcopy of this family-focused vacation guide now for a chance to win a V.I.P. Dollywood experience for a family of four. Winning families will experience one of the state’s most notable attractions, Dollywood. Ten special “butterfly tickets” will be hidden inside randomly selected Tennessee Playcation Guides, and lucky recipients will receive a two-night stay at a Dollywood luxury resort; season passes to Dollywood; a signed, Dolly-inspired guitar; and an activity pass for Pigeon Forge, the home of Dollywood.
These Tennessee Playcation Guides, free and easy to order here, are essentially an invitation for kids to participate in planning their family’s next vacation. Guides will be mailed out in late November and provide a year’s worth of inspiration to visit and fall in love with Tennessee.
