Celebrate the holiday season with family travel to South Carolina and a stay at The Charleston Place. The iconic hotel hosts a variety of holiday programming throughout the season. The theme for 2024’s concept is Be the Light, representing the hope, care and light of the holiday season.

The season kicks off with the property’s annual tree lighting ceremony Nov. 29 at 5 p.m. More than 100 metallic-colored trees adorn the hotel through Dec. 31. From Nov. 30 to Dec. 31, Market Street Circle in front of the hotel will feature daily snowfall!
On Nov. 30 and select dates in December, the hotel’s Thoroughbred Club hosts a Nutcracker-themed afternoon tea. The event includes short performances of the Christmas classic from the Dance Conservatory of Charleston. The Charleston Place hosts visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, with dedicated times for those with special needs. The hotel’s dining outlets serve festive meals throughout the season including on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.
