Family travelers will be excited to hear The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular is back at Sesame Place San Diego, Sept. 16–Oct. 29. The famed theme park transforms into a Halloween wonderland with trick-or-treating, themed shows, the Sesame Street Halloween Parade, a dance party and a festive scavenger hunt. Other activities and events include games, special souvenirs, classic rides and photo opportunities with your favorite Sesame characters.

Countdown to Halloween Show

Follow along on Count Von Count’s journey to his favorite night of the year, Halloween. The Count leaves his castle and learns about the importance of friendship as he searches for his old friends, meets new ones and learns how much they all admire him.

Furry Friends Halloween Dance Party

Dance, sing and monster mash along to your favorite Halloween tunes with friends at this interactive, spooktacular dance party.

Pumpkin Patch Storytime

Head to Abby’s Garden for a special Halloween story time with Sesame Street friend and host reading the new book Pumpkin Patch Party. As listeners don spooky and funny costumes, the book takes them on a journey to find who’s hiding in the pumpkin patch.

The Sesame Street Halloween Parade

The Sesame Street Halloween parade features eight fantastic floats decorated for the season featuring music, dancing and fun for all. The parade also features three performances about Halloween, including trick-or-treating, dressing up in costume and doing the “Jack-O-Lantern Jump!.” The whole family can enjoy the energetic neighborhood Halloween party with all their favorites, including Elmo, Count von Count, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, Big Bird, Rosita, Bert, Ernie, Oscar the Grouch, Zoe and Telly.

Spot the Ghost Scavenger Hunt

Purchase your Spot the Ghost Scavenger Hunt Map at the Stroller Rental kiosk. Take the family on a scavenger hunt through the park to find all the not-too-spooky ghosts. Once you find them all, return your sheet to the kiosk and collect your prize.

Sesame Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt

Help The Count find all the crows on the scarecrows around the park. Once you find all the crows, turn in your completed sheet at Hooper’s Store to receive a Halloween prize.

Trick-or-Treat Stations

While walking around the parks, stop by trick-or-treat stations for some Halloween treats. You must purchase a reusable tote bag from Hooper’s Store, Sesame Souvenirs and certain merchandise carts to participate in trick-or-treating.

Photo Opportunities

Just like you, your favorite characters will dress up in their best costumes, making it the perfect opportunity for unique character photos.

Hay Maze

Take your little ghosts and goblins through the family-friendly hay maze!
