Family travelers to The Lake House on Canandaigua are in for a treat this summer as the resort added new family-friendly water experiences, lake and land amenities, and seasonal restaurant menus.

On the lake, The Lake House’s new lifeguarded lake swim area allows guests of all ages to cool off along the resort’s shore. For more active pursuits, guests can take water bikes and pedal boats for up to four people out for a spin. Wake surf charter options, including guidance from professional instructors, will come soon, and favorites from previous seasons making a return include captained cruises, sailing excursions, kayaks, canoes and paddle boards.
Half- or full-day poolside daybeds are available for booking and boast sunscreen, lip balm and unlimited bottled water alongside the year-round heated pool and hot tub.

Rent electronic bikes to ride around the resort or the town for $40 per hour. A tarot card reader visits The Lake House every Friday in summer to offer readings at $30 for 15 minutes or $50 for 30 minutes. Guests can always access fishing gear, lawn games, standard cruiser bikes and wine tour excursion booking during their stay.
On-site restaurants Rose Tavern and Sand Bar offer refreshed seasonal menus. At Sand Bar, enjoy dishes like roasted salmon, lake house fish fry, shrimp and lobster roll, tuna bowl, and cast-iron pretzel rolls. Rose Tavern serves hearth-grilled octopus, 12-hour braised short rib, a veal chop and more.
