Buenos Aires, known as the Paris of South America, is a great destination for family travelers. The capital of Argentina seamlessly blends South American and European culture. My family spent time in Buenos Aires before and after an expedition cruise to Antarctica with HX.
For a portion of our trip, we stayed at NH Buenos Aires Centro Historico, which was a great base for my family. As the name implies, NH Centro Historico is in the heart of the city’s historic district, just steps from Casa Rosada, where Argentina’s President lives, as well as Plaza de Mayo, the city’s historical center of political power and protest. When it’s time to explore the rest of Buenos Aires, families can head to a metro stop less than a block away from the hotel.
My family loved Centro Historico’s central location. However, we also appreciated the hotel’s comfortable rooms. Centro Historico’s delicious rooftop breakfast each morning included regional specialties and pastries along with classic American fare like omelets and fruits. Plus, we had a great view overlooking the city each morning, which was a great way to start the day.
NH Centro Historico is directly next to another NH Hotel, NH Buenos Aires City. The hotels are connected, and guests at Centro Historico have access to its sister property’s rooftop pool. My family visited Buenos Aires during the summer in Argentina, and it was nice to cool off in the pool after a long, hot day traversing the city.
