Travel apps are all the rage, whether you want to dial into the best hiking paths nationwide or learn where to find the most innovative summer surf camps. One of the latest to hit the scene is Atmosfy, an app aimed at Gen Z travelers. Less likely than older travelers to trust the review sections of websites for dining, excursion or other businesses, Gen Z-ers are also adept at loading and scanning video content — and Atmosfy plays on the desire for real-time feedback by providing access to freshly created video content. Instead of canned videos and stock images, the new app allows travelers to view restaurant settings, café dishes, river conditions and hotel rooms in actual real time.
App categories include dining, nightlife, hotels and experiences. Travelers can see if the strawberries in that spinach salad really are as fresh as the restaurant claims, or how long the lines are to access the theme park. Is the hotel bathroom clean, and the band at the club as good as the ads claim? Atmosfy’s content creators film and deliver directly to viewers who can use the information to make the most informed choices at any given time.
Multigen travelers benefit, too, particularly on those afternoons when family members may be splitting off with a group of cousins bent on the hippest rooftop tapas joint, or Zoomers taking their younger siblings on a lake kayaking adventure. The Atmosfy app is available on Google Play and the App Store.

It isn’t often a new archaeological site is unveiled for visitors to learn about the past, but that is the case in Riviera Maya. But Ichkabal, a Mayan ruin located in Mexico’s Quintana Roo along the Mexican Riviera, is new for family travelers who are finally able to get a glimpse at this spectacular site.
