A group of up to five family travelers can travel from Maine to Nova Scotia by ferry this summer for the price of only two tickets. The CAT is a high-speed car ferry connecting Bar Harbor, Maine, with Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, for a 3.5-hour trip across the Bay of Fundy, making it easy to explore both regions on a single vacation.
The One, Two, FREE special offer is in effect through Oct. 15, and is valid for anyone making a ferry reservation for a motor vehicle and two passengers. The additional three free passengers do not need to be under a certain age, making the offer ideal for multigen trips or travels with adult children. An added bonus for parents of young children is free passage for those aged 6 and younger.
Along with the chance to visit a popular Canadian vacation spot, The CAT offers sweeping views of both shores as the ferry departs Bar Harbor and approaches the port of Yarmouth. The onboard experience includes something for all ages, with games, a movie lounge, and frequent live maritime music and entertainment.
The Scotia Market Café serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, and Sip@Sea serves more than 20 different loose teas, espresso-based drinks, smoothies and gelato. The special fare is available in both directions, and you can take advantage of it on a round-trip reservation, enjoying a savings of as much as $630.
