The Pittsburgh Airport Parking team at AirportParkingReservations.com recently conducted a survey to find which festive movies are America’s favorites. Whether you are traveling this holiday season or just need a movie to get into the holiday spirit, here is a list of holiday movies you must watch.
Most Popular Movies Overall
According to the survey, Home Alone remains the all-time favorite and leads the list with a significant 22 percent of Americans saying it’s their go-to holiday movie. The beloved comedy National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation brings laughter to all generations and follows behind at 9 percent. Elf and How the Grinch Stole Christmas rank third with 7 percent of the votes, serving as classics for both kids and adults alike.
Best Movies by Age Group
Holiday movie preferences varied widely by age, but Home Alone remains supreme among younger viewers, specifically aged 18–24, with 35 percent naming it their favorite. The Polar Express is also a favorite in this age group, with a 15 percent vote. Coming in at third for the age group is Elf.
Older audiences prefer the heartwarming It’s a Wonderful Life, which comes in at the top of the list with 17 percent naming it their favorite. The second-favorite movie in this age group is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation with a 12 percent vote. Rounding out the list is Home Alone.
