The museum opened to the public on April 19, 2017, the 242nd anniversary of the first battles of the war at Lexington and Concord on April 19, 1775. Visitors to the museum explore the permanent core exhibits, with temporary exhibits rotating throughout the year. Check the website for a full list of current and upcoming exhibits. Three films play throughout the day; check the schedule before your visit. The museum also hosts a variety of in-person and virtual events including tours, lectures, demonstrations and performances.
The museum is open daily, 10 a.m.–5p.m. The museum is closed on Election Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Tickets are sold on a timed basis and may be purchased in advance online or at the door. Keep in mind, tickets purchased on site are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may sell out. Pricing varies and ranges $13–25. Admission is free for children age 5 and younger. Family four-pack tickets are available for online purchase for $51. Each ticket is valid for two consecutive days. Guided and audio tours are available for an additional fee.
