This year, Six Flags Over Texas debuts a record-setting rollercoaster and it’s not for the faint of heart. Thrill-seeking families traveling to the theme park will soon have the chance to ride Tormenta Rampaging Run, the world’s tallest, fastest, longest and most inverted dive coaster.

The rollercoaster will open within the park’s new Rancho de la Tormenta area, a Spanish village filled with new, exciting attractions and experiences. The rollercoaster, of course, will be the star of the new area, reaching 309 feet tall and bringing riders on many large inversions, including a record-breaking vertical loop. The ride incorporates details around the theme of the Running of the Bulls in Spain, making riders feel as if they themselves are the bulls.
The ride will reach speeds of up to 87 mph, launching riders around the 179-foot vertical loop.
The park has yet to announce an official date for the ride to open, but construction is already underway. Other parts of Rancho de la Tormenta will include a restaurant serving Spanish and Latin American cuisine, including guacamole and tapas. Spanish music and colorful banners will further immerse visitors in Spanish culture.
