Travel Tips

The family that bikes together, stays (fit) together.

Luxury cycling tour operator DuVine Cycling + Adventure Co., which designs and leads luxury private and group cycling vacations in more than 20 countries and 50 global regions, is offering new tour offerings for multigenerational families, including immersive itineraries across Greece, Provence, Hollard and Puglia.

“DuVine’s cycling tours are founded on the immersive power of bike travel, something we believe everyone should experience,” said Andy Levine, founder, DuVine. “In these destinations, our travelers will encounter the simple, genuine moments that embody DuVine’s philosophy on travel, and leave with a lasting sense of belonging.”

DuVine’s family tour collection expands with scheduled and private departures designed for families with kids, teenagers, young adults or multiple generations:

Greece Family Yacht + Bike Tour

Sail around the Greek islands on a luxury sailing yacht for eight days, and cycle into small villages to partake in cooking with local families, sea kayaking, exploring ancient sites like the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus in Bodrum and sampling Mediterranean meze and Greek wines like Assyrtiko and Agiorgitiko. Provence Family 4-Day Bike + Adventure Tour

An abbreviated version of the popular tour, this itinerary takes your family to the sunny south of France in the Luberon Valley. Travelers will tour underground ochre caves in Gargas, canoe at Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, hike the Ochre Trail and do a ropes course in Rustrel, called the Colorado of Provence. Evenings are spent at accommodations at La Coquillade and trying local fare like tapenade, pissaladière and ratatouille. Departure June 28–July 1, $3,995 per person.

Puglia Family Bike + Adventure Tour

Offered for the first time on a public basis, this tour takes travelers to the heel of Italy’s boot to sample fresh mozzarella from a family farm and a night sleeping in a traditional trullo (Apulian dry stone hut) in the UNESCO-listed town of Alberobello. Snorkel the sunken ruins of Egnazia and horseback ride in the Otranto countryside. July 5–10, $4,495 per person.

Holland Family Bike Tour

Immerse your family in Dutch culture by making cheese in Gouda, baking bread and playing lawn games during this trip designed for all ages. Cycling is gentle along car-free paths, country lanes and polders. Between rides, paddle a kayak down the canals of Utrecht, visit a working windmill and dine with a local chef at her home in Utrecht. Private tour available upon request, $4,495 per person.
