Destinations / North America

Located in Pennsylvania, The Poconos is a primetime winter destination. Whether you enjoy skiing, snowboarding, tubing or are just looking for a relaxing weekend getaway, the Poconos may be the place for you.

Although there are multiple mountain destinations in the area, Camelback Mountain is perfect for families.

Camelback Mountain and the lodge were voted No. 1 for skiing and riding in Pennsylvania. Guests staying in the lodge can engage in endless experiences. Lodge guests receive discounted pricing for lift and tubing tickets.

Families can spend the weekend at the resort or book a house in the surrounding neighborhoods. There are plenty of housing complexes and communities within walking distance of the resort and the mountain.

The mountain offers 39 ski trails, 166 acres of slopes, 42 snow tube lanes and more. Spend the day racing down the mountain, and making memories for the family forever.

If you aren’t into hitting the mountain, stay in the lodge and visit the indoor waterpark, voted No. 1 in the United States. From the comfort and warmth of the indoors, bask in the sun shining through the state’s largest Texlon roof, speed down wild slides and fun rides, relax at the cozy cabanas and more.

Once you are all ski, snowboarded and snow tubed out, travel about 10 minutes down the road to the Tannersville Outlets to catch sales and explore more than 100 different shops.

While COVID-19 restrictions may apply to some aspects of the lodge and park, check out the resort’s website to plan accordingly.

Interior Upgrades Begin Rolling Out Across United Fleet

United Airlines is in the midst of a major initiative to modernize its fleet over the next several years. After first announcing the plan in 2021, planes fitted with United’s signature interior are finally beginning to appear across the airline’s narrowbody fleet of Boeing and Airbus planes. United flyers are sure to notice these enhancements from the moment they step on board: Each new or updated plane sports remodeled seats, seatback entertainment screens for everyone, Bluetooth connectivity and more, all adding up to a better experience on every journey.

Some of Europe’s Best Day Cruises

A week cruising along the Danube or the Rhine may be the stuff of dreams for many, but family travelers can enjoy views from the water in ways kinder to the family budget. Many riverside cities offer scenic cruises, and some Baltic or Mediterranean ports have daytrips to nearby islands or coastal attractions. In several cities you can cruise the canals, and in Switzerland you can spend a day cruising on Lake Geneva, with sightseeing stops in lakeside towns.
