Nemacolin, nestled in the Allegheny Mountains of Pennsylvania, announced the opening of The Peak, a year-round playground for adults, families and children of all ages. The ribbon-cutting ceremony for The Peak took place July 3, 2021.

“We could not be more excited to offer even more year-around adventures to our guests here at Nemacolin with the opening of The Peak,” said Maggie Hardy Knox, president, Nemacolin and 84 Lumber. “There is truly something for everyone, and there are no limits when it comes to the activities to partake in during spring, summer, fall, or winter!”

Activities available at The Peak include dining inside, outside, poolside and in a cabana; a year-round pool with heated decks and sidewalks, a swim-up bar, rock grotto, float pool and in-pool loungers; and luxury, full-service cabanas. There’s loads more: fire pits, hot tubs, summer tubing, performance stage, cosmic bowling, axe throwing, skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, paintball, zip line, canopy tours, a climbing wall, Jeep off-roading, bike rentals, retail and a nearby miniature golf course and carousel.

Nemacolin prides itself on delighting guests with “Real Life Magic,” and curating one-of-a-kind experiences for guests. The Peak’s performance and venue stage will host live concerts, shows and ceremonies. Everything one needs to have a fun-filled getaway can be found at Nemacolin and The Peak.

Some of Europe’s Best Day Cruises

A week cruising along the Danube or the Rhine may be the stuff of dreams for many, but family travelers can enjoy views from the water in ways kinder to the family budget. Many riverside cities offer scenic cruises, and some Baltic or Mediterranean ports have daytrips to nearby islands or coastal attractions. In several cities you can cruise the canals, and in Switzerland you can spend a day cruising on Lake Geneva, with sightseeing stops in lakeside towns.
