The historic city of St. Augustine and the Ponte Vedra beach resorts sweeten the deal for families traveling to Florida this spring and early summer. During May, June and July, a wide selection of hotels, resorts, B&Bs and inns offer discounts as high as 25 percent or three nights for the price of two. Find promo code links to each of the participating hotels on Florida’s Historic Coast website.
Save 10 percent at the oceanfront Saint Augustine Beach House or in the heart of downtown St. Augustine at Hilton St. Augustine Historic Bayfront.
Also in downtown, dog-friendly Southern Oaks Inn offers a 15 percent discount, and for adults only, The Collector Luxury Inn and Gardens adds two complimentary cocktails to its 15 percent discount. DoubleTree by Hilton St. Augustine Historic District includes a 50 percent discount on parking. Hampton Inn & Suites St. Augustine — Vilano Beach and Holiday Inn Express St Augustine Vilano Beach also offer 15 percent discounts, and the kids will love the free ice cream cones at Holiday Inn.
Family-owned The Local motel (voted No. 1 in USA Today’s 10 Best) reduces its best rate by 20 percent through the end of July, and in celebration of its 20th anniversary, the dog-friendly St. George’s Inn has a 25 percent discount effective all summer and through Nov. 21. The only exclusion is during the Sing Out Loud Festival in late September.
The biggest savings are for midweek stays at two B&B inns. Stay three consecutive nights at St. Francis Inn Bed & Breakfast or Casa de Suenos Bed & Breakfast Inn and the third night is free, a savings of 33 percent.
Most of these lodging deals have some black-out periods during major festivals and holidays.
