Louisville, Kentucky, invites travelers to visit during the holiday season with a full lineup of festive programming.

 

Winter Wonderland at Shawnee Park

The inaugural drive-through holiday light show boasts more than 200,000 lights alongside holiday music and festive displays. The free event runs Dec. 17 –19, 5–9 p.m.

 

Winter Woods Spectacular

Louisville’s Iroquis Park comes alive with a dazzling light display with millions of lights. The half-mile drive-through light display is open through Dec. 26.

 

Gardens Aglimmer at the Waterfront Botanical Gardens

Through Dec. 30, the Waterfront Botanical Gardens offers visitors a self-guided walking tour of the illuminated gardens complete with swans, snowflakes, stars and a tunnel of lights. Stop by Mrs. Claus’ cottage and see Santa on his sleigh.

 

Miracle on Market Pop-Up Holiday Bar

The holiday pop-up in the trendy NuLu neighborhood features festive cocktails, specialty mugs, holiday music and holiday movie screenings. The pop-up ends Dec. 31.

Igloos at 8UP Elevated Drinkery & Kitchen

8UP Elevated Drinkery & Kitchen, the rooftop bar at Hilton Garden Inn Louisville Downtown, invites guests to cozy up in one of eight themed all-weather igloos, available through the end of winter.

 

Lights Under Louisville

During the holiday season, Louisville Mega Cavern transforms to a festive underground light display. Take part in a 30-minute ride through parts of 17 miles of underground passageways, decked out in holiday lights. The display ends Jan. 2.

 

Fête de Noël

The winter village features an outdoor ice skating rink, shopping, food and a holiday escape room. The skating rink is open through Jan. 2. The other holiday activities end Dec. 24.
