Multigenerational

For family travelers interested in a space-themed experience, look no further than COMO Hotels and Resorts. The luxury brand’s Maldivian resort, COMO Maalifushi, offers guests a unique summer space camp. Led by American astronaut Nicole Stott, the experience is available exclusively Aug. 12–20, and features immersive experiences. Space Summer Camp is available to all guests on a complimentary basis. During Stott’s residency, the astronaut offers aspiring astronauts and space fans the opportunity to participate in unique activities and learn about space. Check out these activities during Space Summer Camp.

Stargazing

Stott discusses her experience as an astronaut during evening stargazing. The dark sky offers incredible celestial views, even from the naked eye.

Space-Suit Decorating

Decorate a real space suit with special paints. The completed designs will be worn by astronauts on future space flights.

Postcards to Space

As part of Stott’s international space mail project, guests may write letters or create artwork to send to astronauts. The messages and artwork will be added to contributions from children around the world and sent to astronauts for their space missions.

Space-Training Snorkel Safari

Stott spent 18 days living underwater as part of his training for a space flight at Aquarius Undersea Laboratory. Guests may experience this for themselves during a snorkel safari at the property’s house reef.

Other activities available during Space Summer Camp include space snacks, a treasure hunt on Lavadhoo Island, movies under the stars and a bonfire night, complete with s’mores and a talent show.
