Book a stay at The Central Station as your home base during your trip. Located in a former transportation hub, the hotel features beautiful Mid-Century architectural design. The property is situated in the revitalized South Main District, walkable to many popular attractions.

Memphis is known for its music scene. During your visit, head to Stax Museum of American Soul Music to learn more about the history and impact of American soul music. For Elvis fans, plan a trip to the iconic musician’s home at Graceland. Visit Beale Street to experience live music. History buffs, head to the National Civil Rights Museum, a Smithsonian affiliate. The museum details the history of the Civil Rights movement and its impact on the culture of today.

Bring your appetites to Memphis. Experience the famed Memphis-style ribs at Central BBQ. Fried chicken fans can sample a spicy variety at Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken. Make a reservation at Bishop, a French restaurant from James Beard Award finalists.

If you’re more of an outdoorsy family, check out Memphis Zoo, with more than 3,500 animals representing 500 species. Set on 96 acres, Memphis Botanic Gardens boasts rotating special exhibits. Plan a visit to Big River Crossing, the longest public pedestrian bridge across the Mississippi River. Shelby Farms Park is an urban park in the heart of Memphis.
