When family travelers look for theme park fun and adventure, Anaheim undoubtedly comes to mind as the theme park capital of Southern California. But what you may not know is it is also home to a hidden gem for families with little thrill-seekers: Adventure City. This little amusement park features fun-filled rides and attractions designed specifically for little ones, all at a fraction of the price you would pay for one of the theme park giants.
The park offers an array of rides, activities and entertainment, such as the interactive live performances at Stage 39, rock climbing on the 24-foot Mount Adventurous, making furry friends at the Petting Farm and riding a 1940s vintage horse on the Carousel. For little adrenaline junkies, there are roller coasters like the Freeway Coaster and the Rewind Racers along with Drop Zone, a 45-foot tower that will thrill the whole family.
Admission is $26.95 for everyone except for seniors, who get in for $21.95. Parking is free and, with the exception of the climbing wall and arcade, unlimited access to all rides, shows and attractions is included in the price of admission. The park is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and tickets must be purchased online ahead of time.
