Crunching leaves, warm apple cider, crisp air and the excitement of fall activities are just around the corner. Now is the time to start planning your fall getaway, jam-packed with fun for the entire family. Cleveland, Ohio, has tons to choose from for ever-lasting family memories.
Seas of orange, cream and yellow spread across the fields of Red Wagon Farm’s Pumpkin Festival; 2021 will mark the farm’s 38th year hosting the event. Families can enter into a five-acre corn maze and put their minds together to find their way out, or jump on a signature red wagon through the Land of the Scarecrows. Other offerings include a nine-hole foot golf course, straw jump, kid’s play area, giant Jenga and checkers played with pumpkins. Show off how much you can carry with the All You Can Carry Pumpkin pricing. Wrap your arms around as many pumpkins as you can and take them all home for $10.
Families of all ages can enjoy a day at Patterson Fruit Farm. Acres upon acres are ready to be explored, from trails into the woods to a tree house, pony rides, miniature tractor course, slides and wagon rides. Special programs created for senior citizens throughout the fall keep seniors engaged with classes held in the farm’s sugarhouse. Attendees sample various apples, apple butter and cider. Climb aboard a wagon around the property to pick apples, shop at the barn and take a moment to watch the littles ones run around the play area. Circle back to the sugar house for lunch and a piece of the farm’s homemade apple pie.
Arrowhead Orchard is open every day of the week for families to enjoy. Shoot apples from a cannon, cut your own sunflowers, pick apples and select the perfect pumpkin in the farm area. For the more adventurous, families can run an obstacle course, ride the blue bull, walk through a corn maze and glide on a zip line.
