Huntsville, Alabama, is one of those destinations helping define the family-friendly vacation. Home to NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, the city is lovingly nicknamed Rocket City thanks to its history of always reaching for the stars. This is where you’ll find Space Camp, where kids and families can take part in various programs at the world’s largest space museum, U.S. Space and Rocket Center

There is so much for families to see and do in Huntsville, you simply can’t pack it all into one trip. Luckily, the city offers a discount pass for kids, making taking in all the sites easy and affordable. The Rocket City Pass gives your little ones 20 percent off admission to museums and attractions throughout the city.

Getting the pass is easy. Simply visit the Explore Rocket City website, sign up and receive your pass via text or email directly to your phone. The pass is free and there is nothing to download, making it incredibly easy to use. Just save the pass to your phone and show it to participating locations when you arrive to get your discount.

With the pass you get discounts at places throughout the city like museums, shops and restaurants. Some of the attractions offering a 20 percent admission discount include EarlyWorks Children’s Museum; Huntsville Botanical Garden; and the very unique Burritt on the Mountain, a historic park with beautiful vistas of Huntsville and the NASA test stands, relaxing nature trails and a 14-room X-shaped mansion from the 1930s insulated with bales of wheat straw.

The pass will get you other types of discounts as well, such as 20 percent off adult admission at Huntsville Museum of Art and $3 off planetarium and movie combo tickets at U.S. Space and Rocket Center.
