Families and travelers heading south for the winter can fly with confidence knowing Orlando International Airport added a COVID-19 testing clinic along with a slew of cleaning measures.
The testing clinic will be part of the concession section, located pre-security on MCO’s third floor. The testing site makes testing that much easier and efficient for travelers, the surrounding Florida community and airport employees — who have been a constant advocate for health and safety precautions.
“We have partnered with one of the largest health care providers in Central Florida in order to ensure a safe operating environment at the Aviation Authority facilities,” said Phil Brown, CEO Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, the group that approved the testing center. “As travel increases, with certain destinations requiring COVID-19 testing prior to arrival, having an on-site clinic will enable us to better serve our customers and the community.”
The clinic is expected to remain open through July 2021.
“We are pleased to work with the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority to assist with COVID-19 rapid testing at the Orlando International Airport this holiday season, as we all work together to continue to keep our travelers and visitors safe in one of the nation’s largest destination hubs,” said Dr. Scott Brady, resident, AdventHealth Centra Care.
Many families find themselves seeking warmer weather, whether visiting family or their favorite theme parks for the holidays — this easy and convenient testing site is an invaluable addition to MCO.
